How to Make these Great Crayon Candles

Looking for a Weekend Craft Ideas? - Why not make these great Colour Block Candles.

Either show them off at home, or they make a great personalised special gift

What can be more unique then something you have created yourself - it is individual and it is fun.

So How Do You Make these Beautiful Candles?
Items you will need are:
■ Foam Coffee Cups
■ Wax
■ Crayons - Crayola Crayons have the most pigment so will give you the most
■ Wicks
■ Votives
■ Popiscle stick for stirring

Now you are ready to start creating:
■ Pour a small amount of wax into a dixie cup. Microwave for one minute. Stir and pour a thin layer into the bottom of a votive and place the candle wick in the centre. Let it harden
■ Now prepare the Crayola Crayons. You will need three crayons per candle (each different colours). First peel the paper of the crayons and then break them up
■ Now only prepare one colour wax at a time to allow the layers to dry. Fill the foam cup with wax and then top the cup up with a broken up crayon. Microwave for two minutes. Stir and then microwave for another two minutes
■ Now prop your votives at an angle and pour in the coloured wax - the idea is to create angles so you will need to let them dry on an angle. You need the first layer to dry for about 20-30 minutes
■ Now prepare your second colour - you will need to turn the votaive around to get another angle - again let it drive for 20-30 minutes
■ Now prepare your third colour - for this place the votaive flat and pour in the last colour- again let it drive for 20-30 minutes

Now enjoy the candles.
